Murri Sisters

Murri Sisters Mobile Support Service provides outreach-based support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. We know that support works best when it feels safe, flexible and is shaped by each person’s situation. Our team works alongside women and families to support safety, wellbeing and connection, with support available 24/7.

We support you and your family in a way that is practical, respectful and guided by you. This may include:

  • Yarning through what’s happening and what you want to change
  • Safety planning and supporting safe decision-making
  • Outreach support where you are (home, motel/temporary accommodation, community)
  • Helping you navigate services and systems
  • Advocacy when you need someone in your corner
  • Supporting you to connect with safe housing and local supports (where relevant)
  • Warm referrals and follow-ups so you’re not left doing it all alone
Additional Information

We keep it simple and respectful:

  • First yarn:, We listen, understand what’s going on, and talk through what support might help.
  • Plan together: We focus on safety, practical next steps, and what matters most to you.
  • Outreach support: We can meet you where you are and coordinate support across services.
  • Ongoing check-ins: Support changes as your situation changes.

For safety reasons, there may be times when two workers attend.

This service is for:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children, and those experiencing domestic and family violence, and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those in unsafe or temporary accommodation (including motels).
  • Service area includes Logan and surrounding Logan districts.

Office hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am–4:30pm, Friday 9am–4pm.

On-call support: available 24/7.

At Five Bridges, we believe:

  • Respect comes first
  • Culture, connection and trust matter
  • Change happens through relationships, not pressure
  • Support should fit your life, not the other way around

We meet people where they’re at.
